Wausau-based River Valley Bank expanded its Wisconsin reach with the opening of a newly built Madison-area branch on June 23, 2015. The new branch offers a modern, “cafe style” approach to banking and customers are greeted by employees who open the doors and bankers who assist customers via iPads rather than making them wait in a teller line.
The Middleton bank is a “bank of the future,” notes Todd Nagel, River Valley Bank president. “We do not have a teller line; we do not have loud copy machines,” Nagel said. Instead, there are couches, lounge chairs and computer tablets for conversations with personal bankers, an Internet cafe and community room for customers to use.
“It becomes an extension of an office for small business customers. A lot of these people are doing business out of their pickup truck or on the fly on their cellphone,” Nagel said.
The Madison-area financial institution offers full-service banking with special focus on small business loans between $3 million and $10 million. Providing an Incredible Customer Experience is our top priority no matter how small or large the banking need.
