  • Uses an encrypted Internet connection and a scanner provided by River Valley Bank

Zero Balance or Target Balance Sweep

Automatically moves excess money from your checking account to pay down your line of credit.

We’ll work with you to determine a checking account target balance. If your checking account drops below the target balance, we’ll move funds into the checking account from your line of credit.

  • An effective financial tool to reduce interest expenses on your line of credit
  • Can help prevent overdrafts on your checking account
  • Sweep target balances and increments are determined at the time of sweep set up

Money Market/Savings Sweep
Automatically move your excess funds from your checking account to a savings or money market* account.

Maximize your earnings by moving your excess checking account funds into your money market or savings account where they can earn interest. If your checking account falls below the pre-determined target balance, we’ll move funds back into it from your money market or savings account.

  • Earn competitive interest on excess funds
  • Sweep target balances and increments are determined at the time of sweep set up

Overdraft Protection Sweep

*Federal Regulation D limits certain types of withdrawals and transfers made from a savings or money market account to a combined total of six per account cycle. This includes withdrawals made by check or draft to third parties; debit or ATM card point-of-sale (POS) purchases; and pre-authorized withdrawals such as automatic transfers for overdraft protection and transfers made by telephone, online banking, mobile banking, bill pay, wire and facsimile. Withdrawals and/or transfers exceeding the six per statement cycle allowance, will result in a $10 excessive withdrawal fee per transaction. If limitations are continuously exceeded, it may result in conversion to a RV Checking account. Withdrawals and transfers made in person at a River Valley branch are not included in the limit of six per account cycle.
