Exemplary Volunteer Award

Exemplary Volunteer Award

River Valley would like to recognize Sue Ingham from Eagle River for getting the Exemplary Volunteer Award. Congratulations Sue!

Every organization hopes for a volunteer like Sue Ingham who jumps right in, handles any job she is given and goes the extra distance. She can be counted on to take on a project and do what needs to be done without being told. For the Eagle River Area Festival of Flavors Sue managed the beverage garden and street food sales. She made sure ahead of time that she would have everything she needed and she was there the day before to see that everything was set up for the big event. During the two-day event Sue was there from morning until night handling whatever came her way and always helping others. After the Festival Sue provided a detailed report on what was sold and at future meetings could provide input on public responses and what improvements could be made. It didn't take long to figure out that because Sue did such a great job the first year, the Festival could not do without her the next, or the next, or the next. In addition to big jobs, she also helps with folding, stuffing envelopes and anything else she can do to help out. Sue not only volunteers for the Eagle River Revitalization program, she contributes to anything she becomes a part of, including the Chamber of Commerce events, the Business Association events and Angel On My Shoulder. The Eagle River Community is very fortunate to have a volunteer like Sue Ingham who is always first to volunteer and gives her time and talents generously to anything she becomes a part of.
