The Bank encourages employees and retirees to utilize the services and products we offer and provides incentives to do so.  It is the responsibility of the employee to notify the Bookkeeping Supervisor regarding changes in existing accounts or the Personal Banker when setting up new accounts.   Active employees are eligible for the following benefits, as well as retirees who had at least 10 years of employment.
Checking Accounts (fill out application online)
·         One free Checking Plus Employee Premium Account
o   No Minimum balance
o   Interest earned at the “Better than a CD Savings” interest rate
o   E-statement is required to earn higher interest
o   Free Checks
·         Free Checks on one additional checking account (2 accounts total)
·         No fees on stop pay orders
·         No River Valley fees on foreign ATM’s for CheckCards and ATM cards
·         Additional checking accounts will earn interest at normal customer rates
·         Bounce Protection Limit of $600 – normal customer charge
Sweep option on an employee checking account
·         No fees
·         No minimum dollar amount to sweep
Statement Savings Accounts (fill out application online)
·         No fees
·         No minimum balance
·         Interest earned at regular savings rate
Certificates of Deposit (see your local Personal Banker)
·         Board Rate + .25 on any term CD
·         Or a Bank-wide Advertised CD Special (if higher)
·         Trade up is not available for employee CD’s
Credit Card (see your Bank Manager or Supervisor to apply)
·         No fee
·         0% introductory APR for first six billing cycles on purchases and balance transfers
·         Following introductory rate, preferred employee rate is Prime plus 1.9%
·         Earns reward points – 1 point for every net dollar spent
Upon termination of employment, the former employee is no longer eligible for the special rate and would be charged interest at the standard rate for the no fee credit card product.
